Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Group

This group uses the "Domestic Violence Offender Treatment: A Cognitive-Behavioral Approach" curriculum created by Dr. Ronald Potter-Efron and Patricia Potter-Efron, in association with the National Anger Management Association. It covers taking responsibility for our actions, anger reduction styles, stress management, development of empathy, negative effects of your past actions on yourself, positive couples' relationships, fair fighting, relationship insecurity, and more. 


This 26-week group meets State of Louisiana laws for DV Offender treatment groups and meets once per week for one hour. Separate groups for males and females.  


Group Options:

In Person: Gonzales, LA on Saturdays and Napoleonville, LA on Thursdays.

Online: Video, real-time, synchronous meetings

Adult Anger Management

This group is for adults 18+ who are getting into trouble for anger management problems.  Anger control means having more personal power by being able to be in control of your angry reactions despite the attempts of others to hassle you.  We will learn the triggers for our anger, how to tell when your anger is escalating, how to reduce anger, how to plan ahead for anger-provoking situations, and how to evaluate our performance in an anger-provoking situation. 


The co-ed (males and females) group meets once per week for one hour per week for 10 weeks. Certificate of Completion given upon completion of the classes.

Juvenile Aggression Replacement

This group teaches social skills, anger control, and moral decision making. A good choice for teens ages 12 - 17 who are getting into trouble for fighting or anger. 


Social skills are the skills we use when we deal with other people. Good social skills get us what we want. They increase the chance we will get a positive response and decrease the chance we will get a negative response from other people. 


Anger control means having more personal power by being able to be in control of your angry reactions despite the attempts of others to hassle you.

Systematic Training for Effective Parenting

There are 3 STEP groups:


Early Childhood for parents of children under 6.

STEP for parents of children ages 6 - 12.

Teen for parents of children ages 13 - 18.

High Conflict Parents

This class is for you if you feel like your interactions with your ex are a never-ending battle.  Constant negativity can affect your children. Break this cycle of anger and conflict now.  Learn to manage intense emotions, deal with shame and blame, and create a peaceful and loving environment for your children.


Groups are available in Gonzales, LA; Napoleonville, LA and online

Alcohol Education Class

This 4 hour class provides information through the use of lecture and handouts to address the dangers and problems associated with alcohol impairment and its influences on driving safety.  Recommended for anyone with DUI/DWI arrests, positive alcohol screen at work, or as prevention for at-risk individuals. It covers:

  • Alcohol and your health
  • Alcohol Use diagnoses and how to change your drinking
  • Legal definitions of DWI, how to avoid re-arrest, how alcohol affects driving
  • Harmful alcohol use, Negative social, occupational, and family effects of alcohol


This is a video conference group offered face-to-face, real time. Limit of 4 people. Cost is $60.
